Groups
Some groups that I run:
Power of You
Be Calm- Stress Reduction Workshop
Mommy & Me Group
Second Time Moms Group
Power of You is a unique group for daughters and a parent. It is a fun and safe place for girls, in 2nd and 3rd grades, to grow their self-esteem, build strong relationships with peers and family members and learn how to treat each other with respect. Facilitated by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in improving feelings of self-worth, making good decisions, helping to create more resilient children, conflict resolution, body image issues and more. I help girls feel more empowered and to develop healthier body image, improve goal-setting skills, deal with stress, and how to have healthy friendships. As part of this special program, parents also get parent coaching on really tough issues that arise. I tailor make the sessions based on the needs of the individuals in the group. Click to REGISTER.
Stress reduction workshop for kids, grades 6-8. In a safe, nurtutring environment, we will introduce tools and concepts to empower and encourage our children to deal with stress and fatigue that may be making them unhappy, impatient & frustrated.

Bring your babies and find support and long lasting friendships! First time moms have the added stressors of learning on the job, feeling isolated and being sleep deprived. My First-Time Mommy groups cover (among other things): Mother and baby wellness, breast and bottle feeding, sleep issues, post-partum emotions, relationship changes with your partner, isolation, staying at home, working outside of the home, self-image, self-care and more.
Second Time Moms have the benefit of having experienced motherhood already, but there are added struggles. Which child needs more attention? Is it 50/50? How do I give my infant the attention s/he needs while also spending quality time with my toddler/preschooler? How do I get time for myself? How do I manage my older child's jealousy or resentment? How do I get him/her to love the baby? Children are welcome.
Empowering Girls to Become Strong Women
I run groups for 4th and 5th graders, as well as high school students to help them navigate through girlhood more easily. I teach girls to develop healthier body image, improve goal-setting skills, deal with stress, and how to have healthy relationships. I also work with older teens on how to identify red flags in romantic relationships to avoid unhealthy or abusive relationships.
